General Information

  • It is advisable to make a booking to use a microfilm or microfiche reader especially if you are travelling any distance.

  • Bookings can be made by telephone, letter, fax or e-mail

  • Visitors arriving without a booking will be accommodated if space and facilities permit. However, people who have booked do have priority access to the search room facilities

  • Please do not bring any large items with you such as large briefcases, suitcases, rucksacks etc as space in the search room is limited.

  • There are six seats for researchers so at busy times a booking system may operate for desk space as well.

  • If you don't have a reader's ticket, please ensure you bring the required ID.
