You are able to visit the A.N. Palmer Centre to the use the documents, microforms and printed sources free of charge. If you are unable to visit the A.N. Palmer Centre in person, we are able to undertake research on your behalf.
We are able to search original records, microforms and printed sources held at the A.N. Palmer Centre. Sources include parish, non-conformist and census records, electoral registers and newspapers
Specific enquiries - searching for entries in parish registers or census returns would require a straight-forward search e.g. To find the marriage of John Jones and Mary Davies at Wrexham 1750-1760
Longer searches e.g. newspaper searches, checking a combination of sources, information on a building and its occupancy
We cannot undertake research of a broad or general nature e.g. 'The growth and development of Wrexham'.
Information about the records and other sources we hold and how they can be used is free of charge. Requests can be submitted by telephone, post or e-mail.
Applications for research must be submitted on the official application form together with the minimum fee before any research can be carried out. Application forms should be sent to the A.N. Palmer Centre for Local Studies and Archives, Wrexham Museum, Regent Street, Wrexham LL11 1RB.
The form is available to download in the following formats:

When the research is complete we will send a typed report giving full details of the sources checked and information found. Advice will be given on the existence and whereabouts of other relevant sources where appropriate.
We will make every effort to supply the information requested, but cannot guarantee that the search will produce a positive result.
We reserve the right to refuse to undertake a search.
