Being an industrial town did not just mean terraces. Grosvenor Road was just one area where businessmen built their new homes. Outside Wrexham, landowners grew wealthy on the mineral rights and the industrialists too on the profits from heavy industry. Many of their big houses did not survive the changes of the 20th Century.
