Minera Lead Mines : Visitor Information

Discover the story of the lead miners of Minera, the village name after the ore beneath, at Minera Lead Mines visitor centre and explore where they worked at the remains of the 19th century lead processing works.

As a bonus, on a clear day there are superb panoramic views across the Clywedog Valley from the top of the reconstructed Beam Engine House!

The lead mines are set in a country park below Minera Mountain which is open all year round for people and their dogs. Sensible shoes should be worn.

Nearby Minera Mountain is also good walking territory and there is a footpath up the mountain from the country park. The lead mines' car park is the starting point for walking the Clywedog Trail or you can drive over the top to World's End and Llangollen.
