Superheroes: The Legends of Today
Year of Legends exhibition at Wrexham Museum
Wrexham Museum is marking this year, the Year of Legends in Wales, with a special exhibition celebrating some of the legends of our own era – Superman, Batman, Dr Who and Wonder Woman. These comic book creations and television icons are household names and Wrexham has a link to all of them.
Wrexham Museum has teamed up with local artist, Neil Edwards, who works as an illustrator for DC Comics, Marvel Comics and Titan Comics producing the initial pencil drawings for their superhero comic books that are sold across the United States and in Britain.
The exhibition features Neil’s pencil drawings of those well-known comic strip superheroes Superman, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Wonder Woman. Alongside these world famous fictional characters, Neil has also given a ‘superhero’ makeover to a well-known local individual, Brymbo Man. The first drawing of our own superhero will appear in the exhibition.
The exhibition opened on Saturday, 24th June 2017 and runs until January 27th 2018. Admission is free. For more information, call 01978 297 460 or follow facebook/wrexham museums
