Curriculum Cymreig: Early Modern History of Wales
Study of Significant Individuals

Take advantage of this free two hour workshop developed by the National Library of Wales to engage your pupils about the past using primary sources over 600 years old!  This is a rare opportunity to learn how and why manuscripts relating to Gutun Owain and The Black Book of Basingwerk were composed. There is a special study about Morgan Llwyd, a significant individual with remarkable achievements, educated here in Wrexham. Pupils will also be able to view rare footage relating to Wrexham and north east Wales from the National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales, and study modern sources relating to football and popular culture. A free workbook for every pupil which compliments the exhibition "In this Place", created also by The National Library of Wales. Welsh language option is available.
