Deep Inside the Archives – Wrexham Revealed
Safely stored in the archives at Wrexham Museum is the written evidence of Wrexham’s past. Together this material bears witness to the lives of our county’s previous inhabitants, from the rich and powerful to the poor and downtrodden.
From Chirk and the Ceiriog Valley in the south to Holt and Rossett in the north; and from the Maelor in the east across to Wrexham and the industrial villages to its west — these archives provide a record of each community’s changing fortunes over the centuries. Stories overlooked, people and places near forgotten, sometimes surprising and often remarkable.
This new exhibition highlights a few items from the collection to share with you. We hope it inspires you to do your own research. Who knows what you might discover….
