Young Volunteers at Wrexham Museum and Archives
Here you can find out more information about volunteering with us at Wrexham Museum and Archives.
A volunteer is someone who gives up their time freely and unpaid to help others.
As a Young Volunteer you will became a Volunteer Gallery Enabler. This volunteer role involves looking after our galleries, talking to visitors and handling real or replica objects on our handling trolley!
You will also deliver hands on activities to families in the galleries, and you can help out at our monthly history club or when we hold special events.
You will be supervised by an adult, but you will be responsible for ensuring the best visitor experience possible.
Anyone aged between 10-15 years can volunteer as part of our Young Volunteers programme. Anyone aged 16 years and above can join our adult volunteer programme.
At the moment our Young Volunteers help us the third Saturday of every month during museum opening times, 11am – 1pm and on certain days during the school holidays.
You are asked to commit to six two hour sessions per year.
We welcome all children and young adults who have an interest in history, are enthusiastic and willing to learn!
