Visual Arts – Spinning, Weaving and Dyeing. Lively,
friendly group (all ages), current membership approx. 50, welcomes
new members and has equipment to hire. Saturday meetings have a
programme of events arranged to include talks, demonstrations and
workshops. The group holds annual exhibitions of work and the guild
has always had members’ work selected for the National Guild’s
Biennial Exhibitions. The Monday group is a more informal day where
members work on their own projects and share skills.

Our aim is to keep traditional textile
crafts and skills alive – but not stagnant! We aim to progress
with the times and to try new techniques and ideas whilst always aiming
for the highest standards of workmanship, finish and presentation.
In the main, we do not sell our work. Our ethos is to share our skills
with others who are interested, thus keeping the craft alive. We are
happy to talk about our work and to give demonstrations of the techniques
involved.Every year we mount an exhibition of the work completed in
