Google AdWords Training

Business Wales, in partnership with Pro PPC, will be hosting an event in association with Google & Google Partners. The event will consist of a series of presentations with a focus on the importance of internet marketing, along with Google AdWords training on 'How to Set Up and Optimise a Google AdWords Account’. The current economic climate has left a lot of businesses struggling to stay afloat; in addition, Google has created a series of algorithms to optimise who ranks highly on its search engine. This poses as a problem for many small businesses, unable to rank against large mainstream companies who are constantly occupying this space and making it virtually impossible to compete organically using SEO. Google AdWords has become an intrinsic part of making many small and medium sized businesses successful. The results from this kind of advertising are instantaneous, and when done correctly, a business can skyrocket to success. There is however a flip side: when set up incorrectly, it can leave a business in ruins. There are many things to consider about how Google uses campaigns to advertise a business – we want to show you how to do this correctly for your business. The day will be split into 4 modules: 1.The past, present and future of Google, how Superfast Broadband impacts the behaviour of consumers, and therefore your business 2.How to set up an AdWords account correctly – step by step 3.Other networks and tools, including YouTube, Analytics, Locations and Shopping 4.Optimising and improving campaigns once live The modules cover everything you need to know about getting started with Google Adwords; Pro PPC have also kindly offered access to their online training program, including eight videos to guide you through the set up and optimisation processes covered in modules 2 and 3. Each module will give a great deal of insight into how to improve and future-proof your internet marketing. The talks are provided by experts in the industry, and will be extremely beneficial to all those in attendance.

Play Day 2017

Wrexham will once again be celebrating National Playday with an event held in Wrexham town centre, on Wednesday 2nd August from 12pm to 4pm on Queen Square and Llwyn Isaf (the Guildhall field). Playday is for people of all ages including babies and toddlers, older children, teenagers, parents, professionals and grandparents, all are invited to join in this free and playful event. Organisations involved in children’s play and playwork from across Wrexham will be coming together to provide a wide range of playful opportunities, including favourites like the giant sandpit, mass water fight, junk play and rope swings. The aim of this event is to highlight children’s right to play, encouraging people to recognise the value of playing to children, their families and their local communities. In doing this Wrexham’s Playday event is part of the local authority’s continued commitment to try ensure all children across the county borough have enough time, space and permission to play. Approximately 3000 people visited our Playday event last year and we aim to make this year’s even bigger and better, but this can only happen if people come along and join in the fun. All we ask is that you bring along a playful mood and some clothes you don’t mind getting wet and messy. In the past families have brought along picnics and stayed all afternoon! To get a better idea of the sorts of things that happen on Playday, please visit: www.wrexham.gov.uk/play and click on the Playday link to view photographs from previous events.

Round the Table Networking at Conwy Business Centre

In collaboration with the Conway Business Centre, The West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce we will be hosting what promises to be yet another fantastic ‘Round the Table’ networking event. The event is to be held at Conwy Business Centre which focuses on business growth and development. The centre is a hub for local start ups but also for existing businesses, helping them to thrive and grow within a modern and stylish environment. Guests will be provided with delicious breakfast favourites, alongside complimentary hot beverages, before being able to join in on the networking fun and promote themselves and their business to a fantastic array of new business contacts. The Round the Table networking events are a fun, lively and friendly way of getting to know fellow business-people in the local community. Each guest has a few minutes to introduce themselves and share their background before moving ‘around the table’ and getting to know each individual around their table. Guests then swap seats and tables and start all over again! Alongside the modern venue, the session also promises to be an enjoyable event whilst giving delegates the opportunity to swap contact details, meet individuals from a range of businesses and organisations and network. We hope to see you there at what promises to be a fantastic event! Don’t forget to bring your business cards!

Round the Table Networking at Thornton Science Park

The West Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce is joining together in partnership with the team at Thornton Science Park to host a Round the Table Networking Breakfast Event, held on Thursday 9th November. Thornton Science Park is now part of the University of Chester, marking the start of a new science hub for the region. With it’s cutting-edge facilities and sleek conference and seminar suites, it is a fantastic addition to the University’s ever-expanding campus. So get together and join fellow Chamber members, all whilst making great business connections. All guests in attendance will be treated to refreshments on arrival which have been generously provided by our co-hosts at Thornton Science Park. Once guests have been welcomed and enjoyed their breakfast beverages, they will make their way into the suite before the networking fun begins. Round the Table Networking is one of the Chamber’s specialty events, providing guests with the opportunity to meet plenty of people from across the region. Each table goes ’round the table’ and shares their story, before swapping seats and repeating the fun! The event promises to be plenty of fun and gives delegates the opportunity to swap contact details, meet individuals from a range of businesses and organisations and network with fellow Chamber members. Don’t forget to bring your business cards! **Please note: due to the nature of the site, Thornton Science Park is subject to high levels of security and has restricted access so guests MUST book onto the event in advance. Entrance will only be granted to authorized guests and so you must inform the Chamber of your intention to attend. On arrival, you will be signed in by security who will then direct you to the canteen where the event is being held. We look forward to welcoming you there and hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be a wonderful event.
