Bronington Hoard on Tour

Wrexham Museum will be showing a sample of coins from the recently discovered Bronington Hoard at Penley Rainbow Centre this November. Dating from the 15th century, this will be the first time the coins have been on public display. A wonderful opportunity to view the coins in the Maelor area before they go on display at Wrexham Museum in 2018. Free. No need to book just turn up anytime between 10am and 2.3pm.

Christmas Extravaganza

Wrexham has pulled out all the stops to make this Christmas a real cracker, the parade will snowball into the season’s merriest musical procession as Santa, his reindeer and a stocking full of surprises flood the streets of the town centre.

The parade will leave Rhosddu Road at 11am led by a Marching band, followed by popular children’s TV characters, real life reindeer, Santa himself and lots more.

The parade will travel along Lord Street, Duke Street, Regent Street, Hope Street, Queens Street. The parade will then stop on Queens Square for the opening of Santa’s Grotto. The grotto will be open Monday-Saturday until 23rd December.

Queens Square will be filled with stalls, children’s rides, choirs singing carols, free land train trips, photo opportunities with the children’s characters and a giant Christmas snow globe.

Rock the Park Music Festival

Cyclone Events & Penyllan Farm present Rock the Park Wrexham 2018! The festival WILL return on the 18th + 19th August 2018!! 2 Days, 2 Main Stages, Camping and definitely more bars! ROCK THE PARK now in its second year set in the heart of North Wales on Penyllan Farm, Marchwiel, Wrexham. This years event will take place on Friday 18th & Saturday 19th August 2018. Rock the Park is a tribute music festival featuring some of the biggest band names from around the world. We are also providing a platform for local up and coming artists to show off their talent. The festival will feature 2 main stages and has a crowd expectancy of 10,000 people. Wrexham has never seen a festival of this scale and it promises to entertain its residents. Two huge main stages, including one tented stage will please crowds with bands and singers performing from noon until dark along with a firework spectacular to finish! This is not a festival to be missed! Fairground Rides will also be available for your pleasure as well as our festival village where you can eat, drink and shop to your hearts content!

The Wonder Quilt of Wrexham

The Wrexham Tailor’s Quilt is among the finest examples of European folk art – the art made by ordinary people with often extraordinary talent and skill. The quilt which was made in the town between 1842 and 1852 has not been on public display in Wrexham since 1933.

Join Wrexham Community Choir - Open To All

Wrexham Community Choir is inviting new members to come and sing their hearts out at weekly practices every Tuesday at the Methodist Church in Regent Street. The choir, formed in 2012, is open to everyone, regardless of age or experience. There is no upper limit to numbers – the more the merrier. There are no auditions, no solos, no need to read music and everyone is invited to turn up and join in.
