Environmental Education

Wrexham Parks, Countryside and Public Rights of Way Service offers an extensive environmental education programme and the country parks provide an excellent educational resource for all ages to study a wide range of topics covering a number of curriculum areas.

These include:

  • Habitats
  • Mapping
  • River Studies (geography)
  • River/Pond Dipping
  • Farm Walk (Ty Mawr only)
  • Minibeasting
  • Seasonal Walks
  • Art in the Environment
  • Rocks and Fossils (Minera only)
  • Literacy and Language

All programmes are National Curriculum linked and offer a hands on experience to compliment and consolidate classroom learning. We are, however, happy to discuss individual needs if the current programmes available do not meet them. For more information please contact any of the Country Parks.
