If you are aged 16 years or under you can take advantage of our FREE swimming sessions at your local leisure and activity centre during the school holidays and at weekends; simply register for you Pure Leisure Card. Remember… no card, no free swim!

Weekends

Free Swimming is now available at weekends for children and young people aged 16 years and under (with a PURE Leisure Card*) during the following sessions! For further information please contact your nearest Leisure and Activity Centre:

    Sunday 2-3pm
    And free junior gym sessions Sunday 12 noon–1pm**
  • Gwyn Evans Leisure and Activity Centre 01978 269540
    Sunday 9-11am
    And free junior gym sessions Sunday 1-2pm**
  • Plas Madoc Leisure and Activity Centre 01978 821600
    Saturdays 9.30-11am
    And FREE junior gym sessions 11am-1pm**
  • Wrexham Waterworld Leisure and Activity Centre 01978 297300
    Saturday 3-5pm

*PURE leisure cards can be obtained from any of the facilities listed above. Please speak to reception for more information.

Terms and Conditions

  • Entry to free swimming at all centres is on production of a Pure Leisure Card and is open to Welsh residents only
  • Children under 8 years must be accompanied by a full paying adult
  • First come, first served basis
  • Maximum of 1 hour in the pool

This is a Welsh Assembly Government initiative working in partnership with Wrexham County Borough Council and the Welsh Amateur Swimming Association.

Water Polo Competition!

The Wrexham water Polo Competition took place on Friday 17th August with Wrexham II winning the event!

However you can still take part in free water polo activities at your local leisure and activity centre, please contact them for further information:
