 PURE: Fitness Suite
The fitness suite has a full range of CV and resistance equipment supplied by Technogym. The free weights room has a combination of Technogym and Cybex equipment, and is the only one of its kind in the Wrexham County borough. The 45-station suite caters for all levels of ability and fitness. Pure fitness suite at Plas Madoc has a team of fully qualified and experienced instructors, who can offer programmes and advice to suit any individuals lifestyle, goals and ambitions. The team also contributes to some important local health schemes such as GP Referral (Fresh Start) and Cardiac Rehabilitation at phase IV level.
- Our Fresh Start scheme is accessed via referral from a GP or Practice nurse. The medical professional referrers the patient to the exercise professional who then details the exercise prescription.
- Cardiac Rehab Phase IV follows on from the Hospital based Phase III programme dealing with patients with Coronary Heart Disease.
Children are not excluded at pure, every Sunday afternoon is our junior fitness session from 12-1pm or 1-2pm, all sessions are supervised by a member of the fitness team staff, juniors aged 12-15 can enjoy structured exercise in a safe and fun environment.

Sunbeds
Keep your tan all year round by using one of three sunbeds available at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre. We have 2 sunbeds and one vertical-tanningunit (sunshower), they are all fast-tan 10 minutes beds and are available at 20-minute bookable slots. Plas Madoc is a member of the Sunbed Association, which monitors and promotes safe practice within the tanning industry. Our beds are regularly serviced to ensure you get that perfect tan.

Sauna/Steam Area
Relax and unwind in our mixed sauna and steam rooms. The sauna is set
at a sweltering 90°, it’s the perfect place to relax after
a workout, whilst, the steam room has a eucalyptus scent to open airways.
The area also has a large relaxation area where you can sit and socialise
in a calming environment.

Fitness classes
Plas Madoc offers a variety of fitness classes - from
boxercise to aerobics, all levels are catered for. Our instructors will lead
you through a complete workout and motivate you towards your goals. Each
class is constantly updated with the latest equipment and moves to keep
you on top of your game.
If you require a lower intensity workout, try one of our many aerobics
or aqua classes. For those more used to high impact our boxercise and
circuit classes are not for the faint hearted!!
