Gardden Wood path restoration work

Wrexham County Borough Council’s Environment Department has drained and resurfaced a very wet area on a popular public footpath between Ruabon Road and Afon Eitha.

The path forms part of the Gardden Woods and Hillfort walk, whose route and map can be downloaded from the WCBC walks website.

Funding for the project came from the Welsh Assembly Government in support of Wrexham’s Rights of Way Improvement Plan.

Access & Improvement Officer, Dave Smith, said “Improvements to this path should help local people get fit and enjoy this special area even more.”
