New Footbridge At Penley

New Footbridge At Penley

Wrexham County Borough Council’s Environment Department has erected a new footbridge across Emral Brook between Halghton and Penley.

The bridge, joining paths Halghton 6 and Penley 20 at grid reference SJ414424, links the Halghtonhall Lane area with Hollybush Lane and provides scope for the people of Penley to try a circular walk using part of the Maelor Way.

The 9 metre bridge is a new design with steel decking, parapets and gates, which combines lightness with structural strength.

Funding for the project came from the Welsh Assembly Government in support of Wrexham’s Rights of Way Improvement Plan.
