Wrexham County Borough Council’s Environment Department has constructed two new bridges on a popular public bridleway near Horseman's Green.
The heavily used bridleway is close to a riding centre and livery yards and together with nearby quiet lanes provides riders with a circular route.
The improvement also benefits ramblers setting out on circular routes from Penley or Tallarn Green.
The metal bridges, which are 7 metres and 5 metres long, are horse-friendly with high parapets and non-slip surfaces. They replace old timber structures that were becoming unserviceable.
Rights of Way Ranger, Sion Roberts, said “We improved the surface of the bridleway two years ago and it’s good to be able to finish the job off now with these bridges”
Funding for the project came from the Welsh Assembly Government in support of Wrexham's Rights of Way Improvement Plan.
