Broughton – Cerney – Nant – Moss – Pentre Broughton

Approx. 4 ½ miles / 2hrs 30mins.

This walk starts at Brynteg Memorial Hall/Library, situated around 3 miles from Wrexham town centre and continues through Broughton with beautiful countryside surroundings and woodland walks. This route descends through farmland overlooking some great views of Gresford, the Cheshire Plains and the historical Brymbo Steel works.

Directions to starting point by car

From Wrexham Town centre, head towards the B5101 which is Berse road. Turn right onto Gatewen road and continue onto the B5433. Turn left onto Quarry road and the destination will be on your left.

Parking

There is parking available at Brynteg Memorial Centre.

Buses

Take the number 12 bus to Brymbo from Wrexham Town Centre. Telephone 01978 266166 for more info.

  • It should be noted that this walk may be muddy and slippery in some places so please wear suitable footwear and take extra caution.
  • This route is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies.
  • This is a stile free walk, but it does have steps, kissing gates and steep slopes.
