Religious Burials in Wrexham
Burials need to be properly planned so that they can take place without any delays or inconvenience to the bereaved family or friends. That is why the Council need as much prior notice as is possible, that a burial is required.
The Council understands the importance attached by some religions to an early burial. With this in mind, there are a few things that the community can do to help the Council to accommodate an early burial where possible:
- The family should nominate one point of contact that deals with the arrangements.
- A Certificate for burial must be obtained from the Register Office. A funeral cannot take place legally without this.
- If a same day burial is required and the necessary paperwork has been issued, the nominated contact person should telephone the Cemetary/Crematorium Office at 8:30am on the day, to check that this can be accommodated.
The Council will make every effort to accommodate a same day burial but it cannot be guaranteed if there are pre booked funerals and/or machinery is not on site and in use elsewhere.
