Apply for a Budgeting Loan - via Directgov

You can apply for a Budgeting Loan if you or your partner are getting a low income benefit and need help buying things like furniture, clothes or certain expenses to do with living or working.


Apply for Child Maintenance Bonus and Premium - via Directgov

The Child Maintenance Bonus and Child Maintenance Premium are for people who receive child maintenance and leave benefit to start work.


Apply for Child Maintenance - via Directgov

Child Maintenance is money paid by a 'non-resident' parent to help you with the cost of bringing up their child. So if you have day-to-day care of a child whose other parent lives elsewhere - that parent should give you money for the child. The Child Support Agency (CSA) can work out Child Maintenance for you and arrange to collect it.


Apply for Income Support - via Directgov

Income Support is a benefit for people under 60 on a low income and with limited savings. You can apply for the benefit online.


Calculate child maintenance - via Directgov

Use the Child Support Agency calculator to work out how much child maintenance may be due.


Claim child benefit online - via Directgov

You can make an online claim for child benefit, report a change of circumstances or send a message to the Child Benefit Agency using the Child Benefit e-service.
