Treegeneration

Treegeneration

Treegeneration is an urban forestry project set up to help improve urban areas in Wales by providing advice and support, including funding, for urban tree planting.

The project was first established in 2003, when representatives from the Forestry Commission Wales approached a number of organisations in the north east Wales region to create a partnership. In 2004 a project officer was employed to further develop the project and co-ordinate the delivery of urban tree-planting schemes.

The project is currently in a pilot phase within the counties of Wrexham and Flintshire in north east Wales.
