Bus Service Update, 09.30 Tuesday, 02 February 2010

All operators are reporting that their local bus services are now running as per normal schedules.


29th January 2010

Commencing Monday 1st February 2010, the B5101 Berse Road bridge [under A483] will be subject to strengthening works for approx. 16 weeks. There will be traffic lights on each approach to the bridge and this may cause delays to the bus services in the area.

If you live in Wrexham County Borough and are aged 16 to 18 years, you will be entitled to a pass which will allow you a discount of approx. 25% on most local bus services.

You can apply in person at the Busline office located at Wrexham Bus Station or you can apply by post, print off the application form and send with copies of your proof of entitlement to:

Changes to Bus Services

13 / 21

From Monday 14 December 2009, the 13 & 21 services will operate via Wrexham General Station.

16A

From Thursday 31 December 2009 the 16A service will not operate to the Lodge & Brymbo, service 16 will operate hourly to Tanyfron & Brymbo Heights.

From Friday 1 January 2010, [D Jones] 10 service will have a route change:- Direct to Bwlchgwyn via A525 Ruthin Road – not Old Road / Gegin Road & return from Gwynfryn via Cae Adar Lane & A525 Ruthin Road.

From Monday 4 January 2010 there will be changes to the Brymbo service.

From Monday 1 February 2010 the 2 service will operate via Gobowen Hospital to/from Oswestry.

From Monday 1 February 2010, there will be a timetable change to the early morning Wrexham – Llangollen service.

From Monday 1 February 2010 there will be a timetable & route change to the 23 Coed y Glyn service.

From Monday 1 February 2010 there will be changes to the 41& 42 Industrial Estate timetable.

Diversion to Bus Routes

From Monday 4th August 2008 until further notice Station Rd, Pentre Broughton will be closed to all traffic.

Monday to Friday, Johns Travel 15 service will operate as normal but via Clayton Road in both directions.
ARRIVA's 12 / 13 service will be split - operating Services alternatively between Wrexham - New Broughton - Brynteg – Pentre Broughton (Gwalia Road) and Wrexham - New Broughton – Southsea - Lodge – Brymbo.

You are advised to check the notices on the relevant bus stops, posted in the bus station or contact the Wrexham BusLine 01978 266166.
