Welcome to Wrexham County Borough Council's Bus Services page.

From Friday 31st July 2009, only the new Concessionary Travel smartcards will be valid for free bus travel.

Wrexham County Borough Council has produced this section as part of its commitment to publicise public transport from and within the County Borough.

16-2-18

If you live in Wrexham County Borough and are aged 16 to 18 years, you will be entitled to a pass which will allow you a discount of approx. 25% on most local bus services.

You can apply in person at the Busline office located at Wrexham Bus Station or you can apply by post, print off the application form and send with copies of your proof of entitlement to:

Changes to Bus Services

WREXHAM – TOWNLINK SERVICE

Commencing December 2008 Pats Coaches TownLink Service services will be re-routed in the town and with timetable amendments.

WREXHAM – WREXHAM INDUSTRIAL ESTATE / WHITCHURCH

Commencing in December 2008 GHA Coaches 41, 42, 141, 142 & 146 services will be re-routed via Market Street and Eagles Meadow into and out of town.

WREXHAM – MINERA - BWLCHGWYN

Commencing Monday 1 December 2008 D Jones & Son’s 9 & 10 service will have timetable amendments.

WREXHAM - CAIA PARK

Commencing Sunday 2 November 2008 ARRIVA’s 7,8 & 37 service will be re-routed via Market Street and Eagles Meadow into and out of town.

WREXHAM – MOLD - FLINT

Commencing Saturday 1 November 2008 Townlinks 28 & 28A service will have timetable amendments.

WREXHAM – TOWN PARK & RIDE

Commencing Saturday 1 November 2008 D Jones & Son and ARRIVA will operate a Saturday only Park & Ride service up to the Saturday 20 December.

Operating every 15 minutes from the Council Offices car park on Ruthin Road it links Island Green, Brook Street, Salop Road, Eagles Meadow, Market Street and the Bus Station.

The car park is free with adults paying 60p return with children and Concessionary Travel pass holders travelling free.

Diversion to Bus Routes

From Monday 17th November 2008 for 9 weeks (approx) the bridge over the River Dee, at Newbridge Road, Newbridge will be closed to all traffic.

ARRIVA’s 2/2A Wrexham –Oswestry service will be diverted from Rhosymedre to Chirk via the A483 bypass.

A Shuttle Service will operate from either side of the bridge to link-in to bus services at Chirk and at High Street, Rhosymedre.

From Monday 4th August 2008 until further notice Station Rd, Pentre Broughton will be closed to all traffic.

Monday to Friday, Johns Travel 15 service will operate as normal but via Clayton Road in both directions.
ARRIVA's 12 / 13 service will be split - operating Services alternatively between Wrexham - New Broughton - Brynteg – Pentre Broughton (Gwalia Road) and Wrexham - New Broughton – Southsea - Lodge – Brymbo.
