Loading/Unloading On-Street

This section provides information about loading restrictions you may find on the roads.

Yellow marks on the kerb or at the edge of the road indicate that loading or unloading is prohibited at the times shown on the nearby black and white signs. If no days are indicated on the signs the restrictions are in force every day including Sundays and Bank Holidays. It is recommended that you always check the times on the sign.

Lengths of road reserved for vehicles loading or unloading are indicated by a white 'bay' with the words 'loading only' and a sign with the 'white on blue' trolley symbol. This sign will also indicate whether the loading activity is restricted to goods vehicles and the times at which the bay can be  used. If no times or days are shown it may be used at any time.

Do not park in a loading/unloading bay if you are not actively loading or unloading otherwise you will be liable to be issued with a penalty charge notice.
