Request for Volunteers

Many community transport schemes exist as charities or other forms of voluntary organisations. Key to their ongoing success is the time freely given by volunteers in order to allow the schemes to continue.

Without the help of volunteers it is quite likely that a number of schemes may cease to exist. This would mean that the essential services provided by the transport schemes to the regular and occasional users would also cease, potentially resulting in the isolation of individuals.

The recruitment of volunteers is an ongoing problem and it is constantly becoming more difficult to recruit volunteers. Do you have any time that you could volunteer in order to make a difference? The hours can be as long or short as you wish, and as often as you wish. Typically a volunteer driver would, in most cases, receive out of pocket expenses.

If you, or someone that you know is interested in becoming a volunteer, then please write or telephone today.
