Cheaper Rail Travel for Older People

Senior Railcards for the over 60s are available at a discounted rate to residents of Wrexham County Borough. The Executive Board has given approval to the initiative, encouraging people over 60 to benefit from reduced cost rail travel across Great Britain.

Senior Railcards can be purchased for £24.50, instead of the normal price of £28.00. The pass is valid for 12 months from the date of issue and allows the holder 1/3 off most standard and first class fares.

Senior Railcards can be purchased from Contact Wrexham, 16 Lord Street, Wrexham (near to the Bus Station).

In order to purchase a Senior Rail Card, applicants need to provide:

  • Proof of residence within the County Borough
  • Proof of age
