If you are a car driver, you may wish to consider taking the Institute of Advanced Motorist’s driving test, after receiving guidance from a local group.

For Young Drivers

Wrexham’s Road Safety Section has allocated part of their Local Road Safety Grant from the Welsh Assembly Government to encourage young drivers to take their advanced driving test. If you are aged 17 to 25 years and a Wrexham resident, you may apply to take your test via the Chester and Wrexham Advanced Motorists Group and may be able to receive a refund of your test fee upon successful completion. For Drivers Over 55

If you are over 55 years old, you may pay the Institute to take a one hour Drive Check assessment. This is not a test but is intended to be a refresher, for those drivers with many years driving experience.
