A variety of concerts are performed at the William Aston Hall, on the NEWI campus. The BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the Hallé, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Welsh National Opera regularly perform at this reputable venue.
Dance and drama can be enjoyed at the Wrexham Studio Theatre at Yale College. The Riverside Theatre and the Grove Park 'Little Theatre' are home to flourishing amateur drama companies.
A wide programme of events also take place at Wrexham Memorial Hall, including ballroom and line dancing, talent and children’s shows, craft fairs and exhibitions.

For an overview of the region's social and industrial history, visit Wrexham's fascinating museum. Located in the former militia barracks, Wrexham County Borough Museum houses extensive collections, including the Welsh Football Collection, and holds special exhibitions and events throughout the year. Bersham Heritage Centre and Ironworks and Minera Lead Mines provide an insight into the industrial heritage of the Clywedog Valley, including the historic iron, steel, lead and coal industries.
Two major National Trust properties, Chirk Castle and Erddig, are also situated within the County Borough for those wishing to explore a historical perspective.
Wales is famous for its Male Voice Choirs and Wrexham is home to four of the best, Brymbo, Froncysyllte, y Rhos and the Rhos Orpheus. Visitors are welcome to attend most rehearsals and witness the unique and moving experience of a genuine Welsh choir.
The tradition of Welsh culture is promoted through the newly refurbished Theatr Stiwt Theatre in Rhos, which hosts a wide variety of musical and theatrical events.

The National Eisteddfod of Wales has been held in Wrexham on several occasions - the first Festival of Bards at Wrexham took place in 1820.
Wrexham is also home to the Marcher Radio Group, which serves North Wales and parts of Cheshire and Shropshire, with high quality music recording studios. The base for the BBC’s operation is located at Wrexham Arts Centre, home to the first BBC Community Studio Centre in Wales.
Wrexham has a special relationship with Markischer Kreis (County of Mark) in Germany. The twinning relationship was founded in 1970 and has been an unqualified success. Around 30,000 people have taken part in exchanges as part of the partnership which has twice been officially awarded 'flags of honour' by the Council of Europe.
