Review of services for disabled children, young people and their families in Wrexham.
Wrexham County Borough Council Safeguarding and Support department have recently undertaken the first stage of a review of the services available in Wrexham to Children, Young People and their families.
The remit of this Review is to:
- scope the services currently provided for disabled children and their families (across both statutory and voluntary sectors);
- identify any services which no longer appear to be meeting a current or future need;
- identify service duplication;
- identify areas of unmet need;
- consider whether services being provided are configured in the most appropriate way to:
- meet identified needs;
- provide services in ways which service users say they would prefer to receive them (wherever feasible);
- deliver quality provision and value for money;
- make recommendations re. options for future service provision/configuration;
- inform decisions relating to the future commissioning/decommissioning of services.
The review is an on going process and in order to keep all interested parties up to date, we will be publishing monthly briefs to update Partners on our progress and the actions undertaken.
