FWLSCB Training

‘In order to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
all those working with children and with adults who are parents or carers
must have the knowledge and skills to carry out their own roles… This will
be best achieved by a combination of single agency and multi-agency training’ (Working Together, 11.1, 2006).

Training to safeguard children in Flintshire and Wrexham is coordinated by the FWLSCB Training Sub-Group. This is made up of representatives from the main statutory agencies concerned with child protection as well as from the independent sector.

The Training Sub-Group takes responsibility for providing multi-agency child protection and safeguarding children training to those organisations based within the Flintshire and Wrexham geographical areas.
