Wrexham Town Centre Access Maps
Wrexham town centre is illustrated by a series of eleven maps lettered A to K (A3 landscape format). Each map covers a specific area of the town centre. A location sheet identifies each area, and an accompanying list identifies each of the roads. Each map is available in large print and tactile format with Braille annotation.
Because of the high detail of the maps, time will be required to familiarise with the layouts and symbols used, preferably before a visit.
Obtaining Tactile and Large Print Maps
These pages include an overview town centre map, 11 area maps and symbols sheet available in large print and tactile format. If you require Large Print copies, place white A3 paper in your printer and print as normal.
There is a key sheet that describes all the symbols used on the maps to identify features - benches, cash dispensers, crossings, etc.
If you require tactile maps, or are unable to print A3 size, you will need to contact a local Transcription Centre. The tactile formats are created by printing on microcapsule, (swell) paper and subjecting the printout to a special heating process.
