The Accessible Wrexham Group was established by Wrexham Council to promote joint working between Wrexham Council and local disabled people, disability and access groups.
The group meets every six weeks and has gone from strength to strength since being set up a number of years ago and has helped make a number of improvements across the Wrexham Borough.
The group is chaired by Councillor Alun Jenkins supported by the Equality Manager for Wrexham County Borough Council, Celia Hart.
Councillor Alun Jenkins says “The Accessible Wrexham Group is thriving thanks to the local groups and individuals that come along to our meetings but we hope that even more people will join the group and work with us to improve access throughout the county borough for the benefit of all disabled people.”
For more information about the Accessible Wrexham Group contact Celia Hart on 01978 292808 or email: equality@wrexham.gov.uk
Meetings are held in Wrexham Guildhall every six weeks.
Meetings start at 11.00am and last for approximately two hours.
We make every effort to ensure that meetings are welcoming, inclusive and accessible to everyone. We are happy to arrange communication support and can provide information in a range of accessible formats. Please contact the Equality Manager if you would like to attend a meeting.
