Evening taster events for adults offering a chance to try a variety of creative techniques/medias usually held on the first Wednesday in each month. No art experience necessary. Booking is recommended.

Shock of the New
A tour of the Jake and Dino Chapman Brothers exhibition followed by a practical workshop. An array of materials will be available for participants to create their own unique piece of anti-artwork, inspired by the exhibition, to take home.

New Life Journals
you will be able to make a journal/sketchbook and begin the creative process of filling it’s pages, with the Jake and Dino Chapman Brothers exhibition as inspiration and backdrop. A variety of interesting materials will be available.

Experiment with Colour
Every Wednesday during term time 12.45pm – 2.45pm
A rolling programme of practical art courses to provide opportunities to work with a variety of different media. A friendly and informal class for adults who are available in the day time. No experience necessary. All materials provided.

Arty Picnics for Families
A relaxed and fun arty session. Enjoy your lunch, while having a go at some exhibition inspired art activities. Don’t forget to bring a packed lunch! Nothing too messy please!
Sculpture-tastic
Make your own 3D papier mache sculptures inspired by the current My Giant Colouring Book (Jake and Dino Chapman) exhibition. Take artwork home to decorate your home and impress friends/family.

Toddlertastic Arty Fun
Much creative fun to be had for the under 5s on the last Thursday of every month. Have a go at a variety of games and activities, which look at a variety of artforms in the gallery.

NEW My Giant Colouring Book competition
Calling all art students/artists to ‘adapt’ traditional colouring book pages for their own means. Three prizes to the value of £50 each. Selected entries will be included in a future Oriel Wrecsam exhibition. Collect entry forms from the Oriel Wrecsam gallery desk.
