Following the Flame Exhibition

Following the Flame is a project exploring Wales' proud sporting heritage, led by Wrexham Heritage Service. At the heart of the project will be a major Oral History programme of video interviews with those athletes still alive and/or their relatives, friends and supporters to create an important new living history of Welsh participation in the Olympics and Paralympics. The exhibitions give voice to the visions of our sporting stars (from the 100+ video interviews conducted) and display photographs (many not seen before) of Welsh Olympians and Paralympians as well as a fine collection of Welsh sporting memorabilia (including Tani Grey-Thompson's racing chair, Olympic torches, Olympic and Paralympic Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and the bathing suit of Irene Steer, Wales' first female medallist).
