Acton Community Resource Centre (ACRC) is a busy, successful, well-resourced and vibrant centre. With many sessions of activity for all ages in music, sport, fitness, education, recreation, leisure, the arts, training, and events - there is something for everyone.
The fully refurbished and extended centre is based at the previous community centre site on Overton Way with an estimated investment of over £800,000 from Wrexham Council and Acton Community Council.
The facility is operated by Wrexham County Borough Council and has a voluntary management committee who work to develop events and activities further. If you have some free time and are thinking about building on your skills and giving back to the community, come and be involved. The committee meet quarterly at the centre.
Facilities available
The multi-purpose design of the building is aimed at meeting the diverse needs of the community and optimising the existing space for existing and new groups and organisations.
The building has various rooms for hire with capacities depending on the type of activity ranging from 4 people per room to180 people per room. Our rooms are wheelchair accessible and free use of hearing loop is available on request. We also offer free WiFi throughout the building we have a range of ICT equipment for use to hold meetings, have presentations and host events or parties. Furniture is upholstered (stackable) chairs and folding tables.
