Older People’s Commissioner for Wales: have your say (external link)

At Wrexham Council we value what older people bring to our communities. We see ageing not just as a challenge but as a chance to do something good.

"Ageing well in Wrexham" is about connecting people of different ages, encouraging learning at all stages of life, and making sure we have the health and social care services we need.

Following a plan by the World Health Organisation (WHO), we are applying to become an "age-friendly" city. The reason for this is to create a friendly environment where people of all ages can enjoy their later years, by staying connected with things that are important, like friends and family. Age-friendly communities also allow older people to stay active and enjoy good health and happiness as you grow older.

We're working to make your community easier for older adults to get around and feel included. This means helping you stay safe, healthy, and be part of your community.
