This table provides an explanation of certain terms used in your occupation contract

Term Explanation
Home The accommodation you live in. This means the whole of the property you live in and includes the attic, garden and any building we have let to you under this contract.
Garden The outside of the accommodation for example, lawns, hedges, flowerbeds, trees, shrubs, paved and concrete areas, retaining walls, fencing and any building or structure outside the accommodation which we have let to you under this contract.

Our written agreement This means a letter from us allowing you to do certain things, possibly with conditions attached. You must get this before you do them. We will not refuse a reasonable request without good cause.
Supporting people services Housing-related services to help vulnerable people maintain their home and stay independent.
Service charges

If you live in a certain type of property, you may also have to pay service charges - as well as your rent. We will only charge you for the services that you receive, based on the actual costs that we pay every year to provide these services.

They cover services such as repairs, upkeep, improvements, household contents insurance or management costs.

We will provide you with a breakdown of the service charges every year.

We will also provide you with the ‘A Guide to Your Home’ booklet to help you understand your contract. It is not your actual occupation contract.
