You can dispose of excess waste and household items too large or heavy for your normal bin at your local household recycling centre.

All household recycling centres are open every day except Christmas Day. The sites are managed by FCC Environment.

Bring proof that you live in the county borough (such as a utility bill with your address on it). The sites are for Wrexham residents only. If you don’t have proof, you won’t be allowed to tip your rubbish.

Asbestos (Bryn Lane)

Bryn Lane site will only accept asbestos waste if it’s been double-bagged, or wrapped using strong intact polythene bags (for example rubble sacks), to comply with health and safety guidance.

Commercial or industrial waste

Commercial or industrial waste will not be accepted at any of our household waste recycling centres and there are no exceptions. This is any waste or recyclable material that is generated as a result of any kind of commercial activity. This could be a business based in a home, shop, market stall, office or business/industrial unit, including waste generated from property development or residential letting activity.

The site attendants have the right to refuse entry and you will then need to take this waste to an alternative registered waste facility. Any person carrying waste which is not their own will require a Waste Carriers Licence which can be purchased from Natural Resources Wales (external link).

Please respect our site attendants as any aggression shown towards them will not be tolerated.

None of our centres accept gas cylinders - please take these back to the supplier.
