Whether you have builders on stand-by or simply want your application dealt with as quickly as possible, we offer a fast track service for householder applications (e.g. extensions to your property). 

How does the fast track service work?

Usually we have to make a decision on your application within 8 weeks and occasionally applications can remain undecided for longer.

If you would like your application decided sooner than this, for an additional charge of £50 we will fast track your application and give you a decision within 28 days. In the unlikely event of us not being able to achieve this target we will refund you the full £50.

If you apply through our fast track service, you can still take full advantage of our pre-application advice service to make sure that any potential problems that could delay your application are dealt with before you apply. 

How can I apply using the fast track service?

If you wish to use this service please download and complete the application form (this will need to be submitted in addition to the standard planning application form). 

You will need to attach your fast track application form as a supporting document when you submit the standard application form via Planning Applications Wales.

Alternatively you can email us at planning_admin@wrexham.gov.uk or post your fast track application form, quoting your Planning Portal reference number (e.g. PP-01234567).


You can pay online through our e-store (payment for the fast track service cannot be made when submitting your planning application online as only statutory fees are calculated during the application).
