The Fostering Service Regulations (Wales) 2003

These Regulations are made under the Children Act 1989 (“the 1989 Act”) and the Care Standards Act 2000 (“the 2000 Act”) and apply to Wales only and set out the requirements of registered fostering providers both local authority and independent. National Minimum Standards (Wales) 2003 sets out the basic standards of care registered providers should provide and aim to exceed when delivering their service. Wrexham Fostering Service is a local authority provider operating within this framework.
