You must report any faults or damage immediately to us to prevent more serious damage occurring. You can do this in any of the following ways...

  • Online using our report a repair form
  • Visit your local housing office (our teams have iPads and can help guide you through submitting an online form if you would like support with this)
  • By writing to the Head of Service - Housing, Housing Services, Ruthin Road, Wrexham LL13 7TU
  • By informing the warden - if you live sheltered accommodation

When you report a repair always give the following information...

  • your name and address
  • your phone number
  • the room and/or position of what needs to be repaired
  • a description of the fault/damage
  • dates and times of when we can gain access

Appointment system

The repairs service offers an appointment system for all non-emergency routine repairs for which access is required. This may be to carry out the repair or for an inspector to visit, if required.

We can usually offer appointments for the morning, afternoon, all day or to avoid school runs. You may only be offered all day appointments for some major repairs, due to the nature of the work.

Emergency repairs

What counts as an emergency repair?

Emergency repairs are generally for situations where there’s a danger to health, a risk to your safety, or danger of serious damage to the property.

Typical examples include:

  • A complete loss of electricity supply
  • Burst pipes
  • Flood or fire
  • Blocked toilet (if there is only one in the property)
  • Blocked/overflowing drains
  • Complete central heating system failure (from October to April)
  • Being locked out of your property (a re-charge may apply)

Report an emergency repair

You can call our emergency repairs line at anytime on 01978 298993. All calls are recorded. During out of hours only (after 5.30 pm) you can also email wrexhamemergency@deltawellbeing.org.uk.

You can also report an emergency repair by using our online report a repair form.

After you’ve reported an emergency repair we request that you stay at your property so we’ll be able to gain access.

Heating repairs

Before you call the emergency repairs service for a heating repair make sure that both gas and electric services are on. You could be recharged if a contractor is called out and there’s no gas in the meter, or no electrical supply.

Temporary repairs

There may be instances with an emergency where we can only carry out a temporary repair at first, to make sure the situation is safe and secure.

We’ll then arrange a follow up appointment (where necessary) to complete the repair.
