You can pay online by using your unique 10 digit pin number issued by your child’s school.
The cashless dining systems means money for school meals can be paid into your child’s individual account in advance. The cost of each meal is automatically charged to their account, and a spend limit of £5 per day is set up for all students - no purchases above this limit can be made.
Pupils who are entitled to a free meal are issued with an identical account and the value of their meal will be automatically credited each day to prevent any possible discrimination.
Cashless dining is only available in some primary schools, whereas all secondary schools have these systems.
As well as online payments, cash can be paid directly into your child’s account by using the revaluation machine (found by the entrance/reception in primary schools, or in the dining room in secondary schools).
Children in primary schools are given a unique 4 digit pin number to use these machines, whereas fingerprint scans are used in secondary schools (or a pin if your child has opted out of the biometric system). The pin can be re-issued to you or your child if they forget it.
You can pay with £5, £10 or £20 notes, and 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1, or £2 coins.
