St David’s Day

Each year on March 1, Wrexham celebrates St David’s Day with a city centre parade and a programme of Welsh-themed activities.

The event is delivered in partnership with Menter Iaith, bringing schools, community groups and residents together to mark the day.

Easter Trail

Our Easter Bunny Trail every spring offers a fun and family-friendly way to explore Wrexham’s city centre, following clues to find bunnies hidden in the windows of local businesses.

MotorFest

MotorFest is a large-scale event for motor vehicle enthusiasts, delivered jointly with Nightingale House Hospice.

More than just a car show, it offers a full day of family-friendly entertainment with high-adrenaline arena stunt displays, live music, a funfair, along with food and drink offerings.

Christmas Light Switch On

A city centre celebration delivered in partnership with Nightingale House Hospice, Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre and Fair Event Management.

Wrexham Artisan Market takes place during the day - supporting local, small businesses while offering a wide variety of stalls for visitors to explore. Expect street food, and drink, alongside a variety of gifts including handmade items.

Once the countdown is complete and the lights are switched on, the festivities continue with Nightingale House Hospice’s lantern parade through the city centre, leading to a grand finale at Eagles Meadow, featuring a line-up of brilliant music artists and performers on the main stage.

Victorian Christmas Market

A much-loved seasonal staple, Wrexham’s Christmas Market brings a traditional atmosphere to the city centre around the start of December each year, with a historical twist.

Featuring Victorian street entertainments, live music performances inside St Giles Church, and a wide variety of stalls from across the region, the market offers a unique Christmas shopping experience.

In 2024, the event was extended to four days and introduced traditional wooden chalets along the high street, creating a charming route through to the churchyard.
