Course details: This course aims to provide participants with the skills and confidence to use fires and tools in their work place with children. During this informal fun filled morning you will get to build go-karts and dens which you can then do back at your setting. We will also look at the theory of looseparts and how it can be used with all ages.  
  
Participants from the morning will be welcome to join Wrexham Play and Youth Service staff for an afternoon session on Playwork Theory, this will cover Dynamic Risk Assessing and The Play Cycle. Time will be given to examine how to dynamically risk assess children’s behaviour as they play and to assess their play needs and when to intervene. The play cycle is a part of playwork theory which is used by playworkers to try to understand and explain what is going on for children as they play.  

You will be given a certificate once you have completed the course.
