Annual Improvement Report

The Wales Audit Office (WAO) has recently undertaken an inspection of Wrexham County Borough Council.

The WAO undertakes two annual assessments of each authority in Wales

  • a forward looking assessment of an authority’s arrangements to continually improve
  • a backward looking assessment of whether an authority has achieved the improvements it planned to make

The two assessments are combined into a single ‘Annual Improvement Report’ that is published each November. The first report is available below.
