Audit of Accounts 2018/2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Sections 29 to 31 of the Public Audit (Wales) Act 2004, and the Accounts and Audit Regulations (Wales) 2014:-

  1. From Monday 10 June 2019 to Friday 5 July 2019 (inclusive) between the hours of 9.30 am and 4.15 pm Mondays to Fridays any person interested, on application to the Council’s Chief Officer-Finance & ICT at Lambpit Street, Wrexham, may inspect and make copies of the accounts of the above named Council for the year ended 31 March 2019 and all books, deeds, contracts, bills and vouchers and receipts relating thereto.
  2. On or after Monday 8 July 2019 at 10.00 am at the Guildhall, Wrexham, Mr Anthony Barrett, Assistant Auditor General, Wales Audit Office, 24 Cathedral Road, Cardiff, CF11 9LJ, will at the request of any local government elector for the area to which the accounts relate give the elector or his representative an opportunity to question him about the accounts, and such the elector or his representative may attend before the Appointed Auditor and make objection to any of the accounts, subject to the provision of Section 31 of the Public Audit (Wales) Act 2004, which includes a requirement that previous written notice of the proposed objection and of the grounds on which it is made is given to the auditor and a copy of that notice is at the same time sent to the Council.
