Our Targeted Regeneration Investment Programme (TRI) - focuses on privately owned properties on and immediately surrounding many of the key routes into the town centre. The project delivers external improvements to approximately 60 properties at a time. The level of grant aid available to renovate a property is capped at £50,000.
Depending on the level of work required at each participating address, a higher number of properties may be improved within the available budget. Work to a participating property could potentially include:
- Reroofing and renewal of loft insulation
- Repointing and/or rendering
- Replacement of windows and doors
- Fascia gutters and downpipes
- Front boundary walls, access gates, driveways and paths
Owner occupiers could be offered a minimum of 70% grant aid for the cost of the property renovation. If you are on an income related benefit or low income you have the option to complete a means test if you wish to apply for a higher level of grant aid.
If you are a private sector landlord or commercial property owner there is no means testing and you will automatically be offered a grant aid contribution of 50% of the cost.
