Objectives

To be considered for a grant, you will need to be able to complete a project that meets two or more of the following objectives by October 31, 2024 at the latest:

  • Job creation
  • Job safeguarding
  • Establishing a new enterprise
  • Introducing new products to the enterprise (for example products the enterprise manufactures / creates, not new stock lines)
  • Adopting new to the enterprise technologies or processes
  • Improved productivity

Outputs must be proportionate to the grant sum requested. You must explain how your project would meet the objectives during the application process.

For applications requesting grant funding of over £5,000 , job creation or / safeguarding are the main funding objectives which will be considered to justify the level of financial support requested. Ideally we would be looking for one permanent full time equivalent job being either created or safeguarded for every £5,000 of grant funding (however there will be some flexibility, based on other outputs to be achieved).

Deadline for achieving agreed outputs

Where a grant offer is made and accepted, projects and outputs must be complete/achieved by October 31, 2024 at the latest, with a grant claim form also needing to be submitted by this deadline.

Failure to achieve / evidence outputs or comply with terms and conditions

You should be aware that if your application is successful and you accept a grant offer; but then fail to achieve and sufficiently evidence the committed outputs, the grant value may be reduced in proportion with the outputs actually achieved. Failure to keep to the terms and conditions of the grant scheme could result in non-payment or the claw-back of the grant funds.
