Wrexham Archives Collection Policy

 

This statement of policy is made by Wrexham County Borough Council and defines the guidelines for the Archives and Local Studies Services in collecting material for research.

The aim of the Archives Service is to collect, manage and preserve documents and records that are primary evidence to the events that they record and which are of importance to the history and culture of the area.

The aim of the Local Studies Service is to collect, manage and preserve material which are secondary sources in print and other forms which reflect the history and development of the local community.
