Wrexham's Biodiversity Action Plan

Ruabon MountainWrexham County Borough not only has a rich variety of plants, animals, birds and fungi, but also a range of habitats such as woods, meadows, hedges and ponds. This is our local biodiversity, which is an important part of our environment and heritage. To conserve and enhance our local biodiversity, the Wrexham Biodiversity Action Plan allows us to set targets and co-ordinate actions in Wrexham. It also raises awareness of our biodiversity and the need for its conservation.

Further background information on Biodiversity Action Plans can be found on the Biodiversity Action Reporting System (BARS) website.
