Frequently Asked Questions about Disabled Parking

 

Does Wrexham Council have off-street disabled parking facilities?

Yes. The Council does provide designated disabled parking bays in most of its car parks. For more information visit the Wrexham Town Centre Car Parking Map or the Wrexham County Borough Car Parking Map.

Are children eligible for a disabled badge?

Yes. Disabled children above the age of 2 are eligible for a disabled badge. The application must be completed and signed by an adult and a D4 form will be needed in order to nominate a driver(s).

Can I park in a suspended bay?

No. Parking in a suspended bay may result in you being issued a Penalty Charge Notice and your vehicle may need to be moved to a nearby parking space if it is causing an obstruction.

Can vehicles displaying a disabled badge be clamped or removed?

No. A vehicle displaying a valid disabled badge cannot be clamped or removed to a car pound. However, if the vehicle is causing an obstruction it may need to be moved to the nearest appropriate parking space.
